A funny, modern version of the Greek myth 'Orpheus in the Underworld'. The poptastic hero Orpheus begs the Gods to let him bring his beloved Euridice (Motown Queen) back from the Underworld, after she is accidentally bitten by a poisonous snake. The Gods agree on the condition that when he finds her, he mustn't speak or look at her on their way back to Earth. Can Orpheus overcome the perilous River Styx, the spooky Furies, Cerberus - the three headed dog, and keep his promise?
This clever musical weaves melodies from Gluck's original Opera of the same story, into a modern score full of catchy tunes. A great way to introduce children to classical music, with further study suggestions.
